Hey fellow DviLs!
As some of you already know, while other may not yet, i play in a local chamber orchestra. It consists of ex-members of my old school orchestra, and is conducted by one of my Music teachers and Conductur of the School Orchestra.
The Chamber-Orchestra, german name: Nermarkter Kammermusikkreis, short "KMK", was founded 21 years ago, so we had 20th anniversary last year.
We play all sorts of Orchestral music from Baroque to modern pieces, also often with invited Soloists and additional Instruments played to enforce our lineup for special pieces.
Normally we are a pure string orchestra, so only 1st/2nd violin, Violas, cellos and a contrabass. 2 years ago we were at our greatest number with both 6 1st and 2nd Violins, 4 Violas 3 Cellos and 1 Contrabass.
This year we are unfortunately dwon to only overall 9 violins 2 violas and 1 cello, the Contrabass still alone.
Importat: Every member of us is an amateur, we all have normal jobs or are students or even go still to school, and nobody from us studies his Instrument or has played professionally, we all just do that in our free time as a hobby.
Encouraged by Loko who showed great interest, i uploaded some of our pieces we played in the last years:
KMK 2005:
Franz Schubert: Ouverture to "Die Verschworenen"

KMK 2006:
G.P. Telemann: Suite for Flute

Ch. Willibald Gluck: Symphony G-Major

http://www.file-upload.net/download-485197/Gluck.zip.htmlThis piece was first published by a member of our orchestra who publishes sheet-music. Maybe even world premiere of the piece.
W. A. Mozart: Quartett Nr. 2 G-Major, KV 156

Josef Myslivecek: Quintetto G-Major

Link:
http://www.file-upload.net/download-485387/Telemann-Sonata.zip.htmlAll recordings are live in concert, so any noises during the recording were out of our hands. And remember, this are all amateur musicians, recorded with amateur equipment.
BUT:
we play in a concert hall with one of the best acustics in Germany if not worldwide. And i'm not exaggerating for a change
Neumarkt has a worldfamous music hall, often used for big concerts with international Artists, and CD-recordings. Link (german only):
http://www.neumarkter-konzertfreunde.de/reitstadl_uebersicht.phpAnd we are lucky enough to be able to play there.
So i hope you can enjoy our work. This weekend the work for our new concert began, so i'm back in practise
